PTC Parents & Teachers Committee

The Parents and Teachers Committee (PTC) is there to promote a sense of fellowship and community between school and home through a range of social and fundraising activities.

Any parent or teacher may be nominated for the committee. The PTC raises funds for specific projects at school. Over the years, these have included interactive whiteboards, shades on our sports fields and water fountains, as well as the recently installed jungle gym, play equipment and games for both Primary and Secondary school. PTC projects are decided by the committee annually.

Our PTC has been heavily involved in organising our Baobab Fireworks event which has been an annual feature at Baobab College until 2019. In 2020, took a break from Fireworks and focusing on other projects including an environmental focus with tree-planting and community clean-up. More fundraising events will be announced.

PTC hosts regular tea and coffee mornings, where parents are encouraged to meet and to get to know one another. PTC regularly supports events by holding refreshment stalls at sports meetings and school performances. Initiatives under the umbrella of the PTC include the Friday market, which takes place at the front of school every Friday.

All parents are welcome and actively encouraged to get involved in PTC events and initiatives, whether or not they are a member of the committee.
