Finally, the end is in sight. As
you read this there are only two weeks remaining before the end of term. They
promise to be just as action packed as the many weeks that have already

PRIMARY NEWS
We
have begun our extremely busy and action packed last few weeks of term and we
are very excited about the final two weeks. If you wish to come and support
the final night of ‘Cinders’ I am sure that the children taking part would
really appreciate your support. Tickets are available at the door. Next week
Key Stage One will be performing their annual Christmas production. Please
come and support these little children. Well done to all the children who took
part in the Musical performance last Thursday 16th
November.
The children who performed in the Primary school will play again in assembly
on Friday 1st
December. This Christmas
season we will be supporting Chilanga Hospice,
Cheshire Homes. Any donations of mealie meal,
packets of sugar or bars of soap will go to Chilanga
Hospice and any donations of cakes,
sweets and biscuits will go towards the
Cheshire homes party on 1st
December. We would
be pleased to have your support. Dates to remember:

EXAMINATIONS
The
Mock examinations for Years 11, 12
and 13 will take place during the first two weeks of next term,
beginning on Wednesday 10th
January 2007. All
students will be given their timetables before the end of term. Obviously they
are all encouraged to make the most of the break to prepare
themselves as fully as possible. Some useful

NEWS FROM THE GOLF COURSE
During
the mid-term break,
Devanshi Naik
travelled to
Zimbabwe to compete in the
Tri-nation golf tournament involving
Zambia,
Zimbabwe and
Botswana. Playing to her
usual high standards and despite some fierce competition she managed to win
her game despite the event being a Ladies’ tournament and not an age-group
one. After a play off,
Zambia,
then scooped the trophy for the first time since 1999. Well done,
Devanshi,
and good luck in your future events. In addition to this
Seb Stobart has been chosen to represent
the Zambian Junior Team in a Tri-nation tournament in
Harare from the 2nd
to 8th
December. The three
countries involved are
Zambia,
Malawi and
Zimbabwe. Good luck to
him.
NEWS FROM THE POOL
We hope you have read in a
separate letter, that next week
House swimming practices will take the place of activities. These will run
from 14:00 until 15:00 and are compulsory for all students in Years 3 and
above. They will take place on the following days; Monday – Falcon Wednesday –
Eagle Thursday – Hawk We are proud to announce that another of our students
has qualified for the FINA World Championships next year in Melbourne.
Congratulations go to Lesley Gwilliam who has
qualified in both the 200m Breaststroke and 200m Individual Medley.
