BAOBAB TREE – the tree of LIFE

The BAOBAB tree is unique and stands tall among all the trees of Africa. It thrives in dry, arid conditions, usually alone, always different.  For many it appears to be turned upside down. It may not be pretty but it is practical, with every part of the tree (the trunk, bark, fruit, leaves, seeds) being put to full use. It may look stark but it is strong.  It may look dead for much of the year but it brings life at all times.  It is the tree of Life.
